NSABBA Provincial Championships were a great success again. My two years of competing both broke the record for most competitors to date so it is exciting to see this sport growing. Last year was the most competitors they had ever had and I was grateful to place 1st in my category, Bikini Tall. This year with another record breaking year and more than twice as many competitors as last year, I placed 2nd and feel even more excited. Finishing second in a larger pool of exceptional women is sweeter than winning in a smaller group.
Being qualified for CBBF Nationals already, I feel second is the best placement I could have received. In my mind, had I won again I might fall victim to overconfidence and not train as hard as I should; however coming second place this year is validating while also motivating me to bring my best to the national stage in May and August.
